Microphone and webcam access for Chromebooks is dependent on the website settings you have set. Each site has different settings and sometimes these settings get changed unintentionally.
Follow the steps below for checking your microphone or webcam.
Navigate to the website.
Click the black padlock in the address bar at the top of the window.
A dropdown box should now appear. Listed below will be your quick access site sites for Camera, Microphone, and Notifications. Make sure all three options are set to “Allow.”
Click the “X” in the top right corner of the dropdown window, then click the blue “Reload” button to apply the changes.
Test webcam and microphone.
